Rain

We've really needed it for almost 2 months. And we got it in spades. All that fell in about 36 hours. It was wonderful. I left the back door open all Sunday night so I could listen to it. So what if some of it got on the floor. I just wiped it up with a paper towel and moved the rug closer to the door. I wanted to hear it and I wanted to smell it. I lounged on the couch in my long nightgown and made hot chocolate. The sky has been a most beautiful shade of dark pewter gray.
