Monday was a relatively lazy day. We finished setting up our two campsites, doing all the stuff we couldn't do the night before. Setting out tables, figuring out Scott and Ann's camper awning, hanging the hammock and setting up the screen tent to cover the picnic tables.






Tim and I took a walk down the beach and enjoyed the sunrise.








And the rain-drenched plant life and a spiderweb.




Some of us hadn't slept very well the night before with the rain and the thunder, so the idea of sitting around on the bluff overlooking the beach with beer, hard lemonade, cheese and crackers sounded like the limit of the afternoon's activities.





Evan's 'face' rock he brought up from the lake bottom. This kid spent more time under the water than above it. Both boys spent hours bringing up all sorts of rocks and heaving them back into the water or building 'monuments'. All the really cool, interesting keepers got piled back at their campsite.






An engineer and a linehaul supervisor having a heroic go at assembling a grilling tripod with instructions in badly translated Chinese. They ended up giving up and just propped the grill grate over the fire pit.









That night's dinner was grilled steak and potatoes.







Another fine sunset to end the day.
