Neal's Yard Dairy Shropshire blue cheese, purchased at Sam's (which will probably be Binny's the next time we go back there).

Big old messy Italian beef sammich at Portillo's

Decor outside Weber Grill restaurant. Here's what to do with all your old grills and grill racks.

Skyline view from the Lakeshore Drive walking/bike path

We could have taken an elegant dinner cruise on a yacht, a ride in a fast yellow speedboat, or set sail on a ship full of guys dressed like pirates. The seagull says 'Screw that! Let's go get some beer and garlicky pretzels at Rock Bottom.'

Flags at the end of Navy Pier

I was trying to capture the way the light shone through the butter/coconut oil stains in the paper bag of Garrett's Caramel Crisp...

More skyscrapers

Oh look, there's Tim and Kathy reflected in the Cloud Gate Sculpture in Millenium Park!

I'm likin' the looks of that Italian beef thing. And how was the Weber Grill place?
We've looked up recipes for Italian beef on line already, and it could be done. Very tasty. Probably as many variations as there are Chicago grammas.
Weber was nice without being fancy. We got a sampler platter of appetizers and devoured it all. Well seasoned, smoky, tasty. And they have these hot pretzel buns reminiscent of Frankenmuth Brewery's long rolls.
