Leaving for the weekend
As soon as we can get going this morning, we're headed up north. Today, we will visit a museum exhibit featuring an old nuclear power plant that used to be in Charlevoix. This is Tim's idea, not mine. I'm sure it will be interesting, but I'm far more interested in what we'll be doing afterward, which is to have dinner at Tapawingo. We were there 12 years ago, and haven't been back since. It will be a belated birthday dinner for Tim and an unapologetic, quiet celebration that for us: life is good. Very good.
Tomorrow we visit our friends in Grayling. The guys will watch football (the brown pigskin kind) and the girls will watch movies. And then we'll enjoy a dinner of sausages, potatoes and caramel apple pie.
