Sunday Dinner
We went to India for this Sunday dinner. We used the Food & Wine recipe for turkey breast on a chicken. It worked quite well (very tasty), and we have plans to try that marinade on chicken breasts at some point--more meat, less messing with skin and bones. We also made the Fragrant Cauliflower in Tomato Sauce. I used white, green and purple cauliflower which explains the odd palette of color in the bowl. And Ellen, I dug out your naan recipe and made it with slight modifications (using honey instead of sugar to proof the yeast, and doubling the whole recipe so there would be 12 breads instead of only 6 :)). We still had the ghee we bought last year to brush on before baking. Never did find any black onion seeds, or nigella seeds to sprinkle on, so we had them plain. Daubed with a little screaming hot lime relish, as recommended by Bryan. Pleasantly glowing now from all the spices, the Bower's Harbor Gewurtztraminer, and from sopping naan in the browned, crusty, tangy chicken leavings on the bottom of the pan...

That looks outstanding. Give us some, preciousss.
Want, want, want.
I still remember this salivatingly (haha, new word!).
By the way, I think we doubled the recipe back then, too, because we decided that 6 just wasn't enough. Because: More! We Need. More. Food!
:o)
We must have doubled it. Or tripled it.
And they do not keep well. Best eaten immediately upon cooling, crammed in mouth with both hands. More, now!
