Spring Has Sprung
Asian pear blossoms last weekend
Freshly baked pretzels this morning. I made them a couple weeks ago when Chris and Lindsey were here, and Tim wanted them again. This time I shaped them and then gave them an overnight rise in the fridge. This results in a chewier, crispier crust than the fast room temperature rise.
They were dubbed 'picture perfect' by my favorite plumber on the planet.

Beautiful. Did you have Weisswurst with them?
Nope. Just a Kolsch style beer. And mine was consumed well before 11am :). Karl took his on the road for later.
I have the other half of the dough waiting in the fridge, to be shaped/baked and enjoyed Sunday night by the Timmeh and me.
